Need help with this Question. Taken from Chapter: Number Sequence. A man was trying to swim to a buoy placed at the distance of 200 meter out in the sea. It took him 1 minute to swim 20 meter. Then a wave pushed him back 10 meters and he rested for about 1 minute before swimming again. He continued in this way for the rest of the journey. How long would it take the man to swim to the buoy?
he swims 20 meters in 1 minute during the first minute, he swims 20 meters and gets pushed back 10 meters, and decides to rest 1 minute at this point, 2 minutes have passed (the first minute of swimming and the second minute of resting), and he has swum 10 meters (he swam 20 and got pushed back 10) so, there are 200-10 = 190 meters left 190 meters/20 will give us the number of minutes he needs to finish the journey add 190/20 + 2 (because 2 minutes have already passed) to get the total time elapsed
(there's a possibility that they may not want the extra 2 minutes added, depending on how you interpret the problem)
Thanks Alot! :D
