How did the 1917 uprising against Czar Nicholas II push the United States into entering World War I? Americans had thought Czar Nicholas II was a poor military strategist. Americans felt that Russia would be able to take a more active role in fighting than it had before. Americans felt more favorable toward entering the war, because the new government in Russia was closer to a democracy than the czar’s government had been.

The 1917 uprising against Czar Nicholas II paved the way for Josef Stalin to take rule in what became the USSR. Millions died under his rule pushing the US closer to entering World War I. hopfully this helps
