@UsukiDoll @jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

what spreadsheet program do you have?

OpenStudy (bobobox):

I have google spreadsheets but this is straight from my school

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok let me try something

OpenStudy (bobobox):

kk

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

start by typing in the given data into google spreadsheets

OpenStudy (bobobox):

okay

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

now in another blank empty cell, type =CORREL( then you can highlight each row one at a time separate the rows by a comma

OpenStudy (bobobox):

IT Doesnt work

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

do you have the numbers in row 1 spanning from B2 to K2 ?

OpenStudy (bobobox):

yeah I never wrote the title to the rows

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sorry I meant B1 to K1

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok so you go from A1 to J1

OpenStudy (bobobox):

yup and i hvae b2 to k2

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

if you ignore the titles

OpenStudy (bobobox):

yup never wrote the titles

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

This is what I have (see attached) I then typed in the formula =Correl( B2:K2, B1:K1) into an empty cell

OpenStudy (bobobox):

oh you forgot the inside of the () thats why it didn't work

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

There are 2 chunks of data the first group is B2:K2 which means "everything from B2 to K2" the second group is B1:K1

OpenStudy (bobobox):

this is what i got

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you only need to do it once

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

0.97 is the approximate correlation

OpenStudy (bobobox):

okay

OpenStudy (bobobox):

@jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

what's your question?

OpenStudy (bobobox):

is the answer B?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yeah 0.97

OpenStudy (bobobox):

yasssss
