One thing to do is try and simplify it, if you see an easy way to do so. With \(12-27n^2=0\) the first thing that stands out to me is that everything is divisible by 3. That will make the numbers smaller and perhaps more clear. And really, with this one, you can just get the variable alone on one side and the numbers on the other.
