OpenStudy (trojanpoem):

I doubt it's ( 3 or 4 ). If to saturate we count the CHO so 4 if we don't 3

OpenStudy (taramgrant0543664):

Well in order to saturate the compound you would have to get rid of all the double bonds in the compound. How many double bonds is there in the compound?

OpenStudy (trojanpoem):

3 in the C6H6 , 1 in CHO

OpenStudy (trojanpoem):

Well, but some double bonds are not counted sometimes. Aldehyde is a functional group. and if we saturated it the compound will lose it's functions. CHOH Now Alcohol?

OpenStudy (taramgrant0543664):

You would break the C=C double bonds only not the C=O bonds when counting the hydrogens
