The square root of 114 lies between which 2 numbers? 10 and 11 11 and 12 12 and 13 13 and 14

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

can you tell me what the square root of 100 is?

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

and can you tell me what the square root of 121 is?

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

I'm asking these two questions because we are given a number 114 and we need to find out where the square root of 114 belongs to. If you can find out the square root of 100 and the square root of 121, then we'll have our numbers you will also see that 114 is sandwiched between 100 and 121

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i was doing chores... the sq root of 121 is 11

@UsukiDoll

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

mhm and what's the square root of 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 10 and 11

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

yes so we have 10 and 11

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

which makes sense because the square root of 114 is 10.6 this was in my number theory class last year.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks. i gotta hop off. maybe you can help me again tomorrow or sometime night. thanks so much for the help

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

ok :)
