pooja195 (pooja195):

Our first step would be to distribute the -2x^2 can you please do that? \(\huge\color{purple}{(−2x^2)}\) \(\huge\color{green}({−5x^2+4x^3)}\)

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

$$\Huge a(b+c) = ab +ac$$

pooja195 (pooja195):

\(\huge\color{purple}{(−2x^2)(-5x^2)}\) \(\huge\color{red}{+}\)\(\huge\color{green}{(-2x^2)(4x^3)}\)

I multiply- 2 and -5 and do the same for 2 and 4 then add...is in right or wrong

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

You are half right, you do multiply -2 and -5 and do the same for -2 and 4 but then you can not add them because of the variable x that they multiply.
