Who ever responds don't just give an answer please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c. add 2 to both sides (this will isolate x as follows) 5 (+2) = x -2 (+2) the 2's on the right hand side cancel each other leaving: 3 = x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its (D) because my teacher told me that if you add u do the opposite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, your answer is c,, because you work out the problem like you do with anything else.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if you were to work out the problem it would equal to 7.... but then you would know what to add on both sides.
