Will medal please help quick will fan all who help Which of the following options results in a graph that shows exponential growth? f(x) = 0.4(0.2)x f(x) = 4(0.98)x f(x) = 0.7(5)x f(x) = 5(4)−x

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

An exponential function is generally written as: \(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle y=a(b)^x \\[0.5em] }\) There are two types of an exponential function. 1) Exponential growth. 2) Exponential decay. `Exponential growth`, has a \(\large b\) that is greater than 1. That is `b>1` `Exponential decay`, has a \(\large b\) that is greater than 0 (because it can't be negative), and smaller than 1. That is `0<b<1`

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

((b stands for a base))

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

So, which of the functions (in your answer choices) has a b that is greater than 1?
