please help!
Energy is transferred through the separate trophic levels of a food chain or web by feeding.
yes but how is it transferred through a for web
well what do you know about food webs?
not much
well, for example, lets take : grass - deer - lion when the deer eats the grass, around 10% of the energy in the grass will be transferred to the deer. Same thing happens when the lion eats the deer..i.e. 10% energy is transferred from deer to lion. is it right?
yes
then, the longer the food chain, the lesser energy is remained at the end of the chain Also, Food web is made up of at least 2 food chains.
Now you know how energy is transferred through a web.
but can you tell me the complete answer in like 2-3 sentences please :) @Koikkara
