OpenStudy (bobobox):

I need help with these five questions. I MUST get them right or their is a huge chance I might not graduate. Please help me

OpenStudy (bobobox):

OpenStudy (bobobox):

@UsukiDoll @satellite73

OpenStudy (bobobox):

I am not sure about how to attack this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you could do a bunch of work, or you could work smart you pick

OpenStudy (bobobox):

Work smart

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they all start the same right? with \(-4(x-3)^2\)?

OpenStudy (bobobox):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then replace \(x\) by \(3\) in the original equation and see what you get for \(y\)

OpenStudy (bobobox):

I got y = 7... Is that what I am looking for?

OpenStudy (bobobox):

@satellite73

OpenStudy (bobobox):

@090909090909

OpenStudy (bobobox):

@UsukiDoll anyone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if that is what you got, then \[y=-4x^2+24x-29\] is the same as \[y=-4(x-3)^2+7\]

OpenStudy (bobobox):

wait What If I didn't do it right? can you check please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so max height is 7 when \(x=3\) it must be right, too much of a coincidence otherwise if you had gotten -18 then we would know something was wrong

OpenStudy (bobobox):

okay, so whats the next step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have a beer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are done

OpenStudy (bobobox):

@satellite73

OpenStudy (bobobox):

@UsukiDoll

OpenStudy (bobobox):

@090909090909

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x2 + bx + (b/2)^2 = (x+b/2)^2 "Complete the Square" I think it should be 4. It's been a long time since I did that though so wait for someone else to check

OpenStudy (bobobox):

okay tag some people and so shall i

OpenStudy (bobobox):

@UsukiDoll

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

a. no mass tagging b. I was busy answering 2 or 3 questions on here. c. be patient :)

OpenStudy (bobobox):

okay. I am sorry I am just very anxious because my grade depends on it and I know you did such a great job helping me
