are \(\huge\color{green}{2+4}\) both doesn't have any variables with numbers so you can combine them
3x+4x are also like terms you can add their coefficient
\[\rm 5\color{red}{y}+3\] here you can't combine 5y with 3
bec 3 is just a number without any variable
