When two lines are parallel that means they do not touch. Since this is a line, we can assume that it doesn't vary in angle at any given point. Doesn't matter how close or how far away from each other, they won't touch, they won't change. Since the lines are parallel to each other, doesn't it mean, that the slope would be the same?
