OpenStudy (true_alpha_wolf):

An ecosystem is the complex interactions of a community of species and their non-living environment. A community is made up of the several populations of different species living in a shared geographical area. It is made up with all the organisms in a definite geographical space. A forest community includes only the living things while the forest ecology includes the non-living minerals, water, climate, time, topography etc. as factors.
