a damsel with a dulcimier = alliteration Alliteration is repetition of the sound of first conosant of the previous word:)
Any questions?
Repetition is often used to emphasize or reinforce an idea Alliteration is used to either embellish a poem phonetically or to make it resonate with the reader simile is used to allow for comparison between an object and otherwise unrelated thid entity personification is used to give a human quality and treat to objects or animals. Just to add when animals possess human quality then it's anthropomorphism anthro(human)+morph(to morph and change)+ ism antithesis= to contrast two ideas as hypoerboles, or to juxtapose how different two ideas are, also used to decorate the overall tone of the poem.
