Any ideas for an Owlbucks Giveaway? I know you all want some free owlbucks ;)
Past ideas: - Social Media Challenge Users promote OpenStudy on Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram) [3 raffle-styled-chosen winners, 1 creativity winner] - Owlfred's Buddies Challenge Users create spin offs of OpenStudy's mascot Owlfred [10 winners] My not really free idea: - Back to School Subscription Sale Users who newly subscribes in the months of August and September would receive 30 owlbucks upon subscribing, then another 10 ob per every month they *stay* subscribed (for 6 months? - not forever - debatable) Any other ideas are all welcome! :D (please)
Totally missed that Spin-off challenge :o I'll think of something; in the meantime, could I get a link to the winner-announcing post?
An amazing idea: That was proposed by the amazing @sleepyhead314 who has quit OpenStudy because she doesn't want to become green: Users who ever reach 3000 medals and get the 3rd title get OwlBucks
right right - I can implement that myself but I don't have an update on who is buying any titles and/or when they are
Paki is the closest to the 3rd History title, keep an eye on him ;)
In a flash of insight, I got a stupid idea! Idea for Owlbuck Giveaway: "The Literal Owlbuck Giveaway" No explanation needed.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
been there, done that - Preetha had been giving out owlbucks for those who wanted it and had actual questions to ask but why not let openstudy get something in return? :P
oh orrrrr people can just fill a form for a raffle (only apply once - any more and will be disqualified) and once a week, there will be a draw and a random user will get 10 ob ?
keyword: "in return" thought: "beneficial to both" idea: "Symbiosis Project" fill-in details: "..."
├┬┴┬┴┬┴┬┴┤Sorry, thought proccess hit a brick wall.
┬┴┬┴┤¯\_(ツ├┬┴┬┴ Wanna help?
Let's think of some things that OpenStudyers can do for OS.
Another idea: OpenStudy Hope in Study?
http://www.funpages.com/assistanceplease/img.jpg Sorry I have to go now, so a little help please?
There should actually be a luck draw once a week or day! Good Idea
That's going to be giving away too many owlbucks and OpenStudy will instead get more of a deficit. :p
@TheSmartOne OpenStudy will be getting more money if it goes as planned. as in - I'm going to buy $50 worth of owlbucks and hand out 10 OB per week to random people :P
needs rules tho so I don't get spammed with desperate people and so it goes to someone deserving - not someone that wants it for wanting's sake
$50 - 400 OB 10 OB given a week you'll be giving OB away for 40 weeks lol
lol
People who do community work, for example : giving tutorials, greeting new users must also receive some owlbucks :P
@rvc we should call it owltips... xD owltips should be 1 owlbuck or more at least. xD
yeah best tutorial must be rewarded with some owlbucks lol
owltips jar! there should be a message like.... Would you like to donate 1 owlbuck to this user? The more owlbucks collected the closer to redeeming prizes for a recommendation letter or a volunteer certificate.
But, we should add a cash out paypal option. I mean 1 recommendation letter and 1 volunteer certificate is fine, but who wants the same item 10 times? That doesn't make sense.
25 owlbucks minimum to cash out .. which is like $5.
Youtube Video Contest Featuring Qualified Helpers while also introducing OpenStudy Specifics: Time frame- July 7th to (?) video format- mp4 send via - email to contact@openstudy (?) length of video - less than 10 min (?) winners of owlbucks - half of entries (?) how winners chosen - mods/ambis vote (?) - number of views (?) anything else (?)
views could be inflated I'm sure
