i dont need the answer i need to learn how to do it

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

call the price of each widget x so 6x is the exact money she has we know that the widget price is reduced by 1.25 meaning (x-1.25) so now she can by 8 of those new reduced price widgets 8(x-1.25)=6x 8x-6x=10 2x=10 x=5 $ so she has 6times5=30 dollars
