OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Hey, so can someone help me figure out this problem; When I'm using the equation bar, and I try to move it sometimes to see what I've wrote above, the cursor gets "stuck" on top of the bar if that makes sense, and it's very frustrating as I sometimes don't copy my work so then I have to refresh and restart. Thanks

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

I also have this problem. At first, I am able to let go of the equation bar, but then after a while the mouse and the equation bar sticks together. So now I have to refresh and need to reboot my thinking process again especially when I'm dealing with a long Math Problem. It could be a bug in the code?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Not happening to me bat but you may try right clicking or ctrl + left click on the border of the equation box to free it

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

I've tried that but it does not work :\

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Have you tried refreshing? Also see if it is okay when you use a different browser. I use to have this problem with my old notebook but mysteriously the problem for me seems to be solved now.

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Refresh does the trick, but that's where the problem lies, I don't want to refresh because all my work gets erased then and now I do take screen shots but for drawings it doesn't work out as it's a link. I use chrome as well, but I will try other browsers, thanks Abhisar :).

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

OpenStudy only works well on my Opera Browser.

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

I refuse to use that!

OpenStudy (abhisar):

You're welcome :)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Are you using windows?

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Nope, apple

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

I'm in Windows 7

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Is your chrome up to date? Mine is Version 43.0.2357.130 m

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Yup, mines the same.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

Not sure.. I haven't used Chrome in a while

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

You can click on the menu button on the top right, and click on "About Google Chrome" to check your version.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

I'm on chrome too. This happens a lot with drawing board; the mouse and the drawing window stick together and wont allow me to click mouse anywhere else... For equation editor you may try this in console : ``` $("div.dialog-body div.actions button").click() ```

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

Version 43.0.2357.130 m looks like I'm up to date.

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Mhm ok thanks ganeshie, I will give it a try, I haven't seen anyone post this before so I thought it was just for me haha, but seems it happens to a lot of people.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

If you're happy with that work around, you may add that as short cut... something like pressing <Ctrl>+<x> instead of opening console everytime

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Alright, thanks ganeshie!! Hopefully it won't mess up again >.<

rvc (rvc):

Openstudy doesnt work well on chrome for me :(

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

same ^. OS on Chrome is worse than OS on Firefox. On Firefox it takes forever to load, but on Chrome I can't log in D:

rvc (rvc):

chrome version : Version 43.0.2357.130

rvc (rvc):

it works good on firefox for me

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Haha, I was about to say I might try firefox, I would really hate to switch browsers, and ew safari no thanks. Firefox or chrome only for me!

rvc (rvc):

It keeps loading forever on chrome lol

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

everyone has the same chrome version, but OS goes coo coo. huh?!

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Try what ganeshie said, see if you still encounter the problem.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

just tried it.. nope.. I can't get on at all in Chrome. All I see is the OS book cover page. Buttons don't work

rvc (rvc):

same here @UsukiDoll :)

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

ok so I'm not the only one with this problem. OS has gotten so buggy lately. It wasn't like this back in 2012.

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Chrome is all I got since I am on Chromebook, and this happens to me a lot! Mostly on the drawing tool, which sucks. i been trying to find a way to solve this, and the only way is to move your cursor really fast in circles. After that, there is a slight chance you'll be able to continue, and still a big chance you have to refresh
