Consider a mixture of soil and water and compare it to a colloid, such as milk. Which property best differentiates these two mixtures?
Here is the whole question.
I know that milk is definitely a colloid.
I really just don't understand what they all mean.....
@rvc
can i have a zoomed pic? it is not clear
Is this better?
Is that one better??? Sorry I'm don't it on my phone that's why it sucks
hey don't say sorry :) Okay tell me whether you can see the soil particles. Like imagine
No I can't see anything that's why I'm not understanding the question 😕
wait which has larger size of particles?
Suspension has larger particle than colloid.
Is the answer soil and water is a suspension because it consists of larger particles suspended in the medium, which start to settle when allowed to stand. Milk is a colloid because it consists of minute particles that remain suspended in the medium.
yep i think so :)
Thank you so much 😆
