OpenStudy (sloppycanada):

Following graph is equal to what equation? I believe for this one it is equal to - http://gyazo.com/475495bdd392f70271f92a9bbc31f562

OpenStudy (sloppycanada):

@UsukiDoll Help me, this is just checking what I've done for these evil review problems.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

oh this is a graph transformation.. so we compare f(x) = 2^x and create some sort of transformation to have the blue line

OpenStudy (sloppycanada):

Yup! I have five of them on this torturous review packet

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

what do you notice? we have the original equation but there's something going on for the blue line

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

is there a rotation or a reflection?

OpenStudy (sloppycanada):

I think it's a reflection.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

yes we are reflecting.. Are we reflecting along the y axis or the x axis?

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

for reflection y=f(-x) reflection along the y axis y= -f(x) reflection along the x axis

OpenStudy (sloppycanada):

X-axis.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

woohoo! but we're still not done.. we may have reflect but is the reflected graph going down, up, left, or right ?

OpenStudy (sloppycanada):

Right?

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

probably not because if you're shifting to the right.. we won't have an intersection point which is (0,1)
