a lytic virus has infected a patient. - Why? "the virus is causing the death of the infected cells in the patient" is the best describe what is happening inside the patient. - i explained that when viral penetrated into the host cell, the viral DNA destroys cell patient DNA. Viral takes over cell functions and destroys the host cell. So, b will be the right answer. The a could not be because the virus is releasing only small amounts of virus, it can not belong to a lytic virus. But my teacher said that my repond is not good. How can i explain for her? plz help me Thanks
why exactly do u think its B ? and where do the choices appear at?
?
i mean shouldnt ur answer be B?
B?
i need the choices
?

Lol maybe they are AFK who knows @POKERPRO23
maybe he or she isnt even online at the moment
even so
they are viewing the question they are online for sure
i can help you but i need the choices
same
iam so sory let me types a the question again 1) a lytic virus has infected a patient. Which of the following would best describe what is happening inside the patient? a) The virus is causing the death of the infected cells in the patient b) the virus is not killing any cells in the host
@POKERPRO23
anna, as the word lytic suggests, these viruses destroy the host cell. They use host cell's machinery to replicate and once the accumulation of newly synthesized viruses ar enough a special protein enzyme dissolves the cell membrane and wall of the host cell. this leads to the destruction of host cell.
lytic virus destroy the cells as it do lysis by replicated its genome ,packaging in protein coats and exit by doing lysis...so lysis or killing of host cells causes infection in host..so u should go to the option "A"
Thank you so much everyone
