If you are talking about how women factory workers were treated in their work time then yes. This is true. I think I know the lesson your talking about (it was the time of the cotton gin right?) The women had very few hours to themselves, meaning that they were sleep deprived, they barely had time to eat. and inside the factory, the windows were always closed so it was often very hot and very hard to breath, the women would often get sick.
