WILL GIVE MEDAL AND FAN!! PLEASE HELP ME!! Two students in your class, Tucker and Karly, are disputing a function. Tucker says that for the function, between x = -3 and x = 3, the average rate of change is 0. Karly says that for the function, between x = -3 and x = 3, the graph goes up through a turning point, and then back down. Explain how Tucker and Karly can both be correct, using complete sentences.
This is simple as the word average is used. Yes the average rate of change is 0, but that doesn't mean it has to be a straight line between those points. Because the word average is used, it can go up three and down three and the average will be 0. Does this make sense?
Yess that makes sense. So is that my answer?
Like is that how they are correct?
