which of the following is true for this table? X=0, -1, 2, 1 y=4, 6, 0, 2 A. The line has a positive slope B. The X-intercept is (2,0) C. y= -1/2x+4

OpenStudy (hlambach):

First you have to find the formula of the table in slope-intercept form: y = mx +b M = slope B = y - intercept.

OpenStudy (hlambach):

For the (x, y) simply choose a given point and substitute it in.

OpenStudy (hlambach):

To find the slope (m) use the slope formula y2 - y1 ------ x2 - x1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which one do u think i right?

OpenStudy (hlambach):

I can't answer that for you. I'm just here to help.

OpenStudy (chrisdbest):

To be clear, C is not the right answer. 50/50 shot.

OpenStudy (chrisdbest):

If you plot the points on the graph like (0,4),(−1,6),(2,0),(1,2), you will find that the graph doesn't have a positive slope, but a negative one.

OpenStudy (chrisdbest):

Even if you graphed it, you will find the x - intercept at (2, 0) and the y - intercept at (0, 4)!

OpenStudy (chrisdbest):

Please medal if you think I'm right. :)
