Just an extra credit thing for my wellness class... But what do you believe is the most important health issue facing Americans today? Thoughts, opinions, comments, etc. are much appreciated :)
Obesity, diabetes, and cancer. "More than one-third (34.9% or 78.6 million) of U.S. adults are obese" according to CDC Obesity-related conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer, some of the leading causes of preventable death. The estimated annual medical cost of obesity in the U.S. was $147 billion in 2008 U.S. dollars; the medical costs for people who are obese were $1,429 higher than those of normal weight. Number 1 epidemic is certainly obesity within the US and I love health and fitness. Had to lose weight personally or was going to suffer from it.
Nothing beats the CDC and health classes abide by it mot conventional ones.
I'll add this
Sanitary Issues such as Brushing your Teeth, Washing your Hands, etc..
