Give the values of a, b, and c from the general form of the equation (2x + 1)(x - 2) = 0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you multiply (2x + 1)(x -2)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, do i have to?

OpenStudy (panda.exe):

x=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you have to multiply/foil that. Then the coefficients are a, b, and c.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(ax^2+bx+c=0\) is the equation. so a is the coefficient of x², b is the coefficient of x, and c is the constant once it's all multiplied

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a = 2, b = -3, c = -2 is that that the answer

@peachpi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that's right
