I wanted to share this with my friends who have interest in astronomy

So in a months time (mid of August) Venus would be on the other side of the Sun relative to Earth and would become visible in the early morning eastern sky just before sunrise by the end of August. Jupiter would similarly go into the glare of the sun during August and would be visible in the morning in the later half of September.
thanks for sharing!
Very cool! I actually had hopped they would have some astronomy courses on Open Study. Maybe we can start a petition for one? :-)
On July 1, 2015 at around 8:30 pm up in the western sky around 15-20 degrees above horizon just north of west the two brightest planets Venus and Jupiter appeared very close to each other (within half a degree). In reality they were 77,00,00,000 kilometers away from each other. Have a look: https://scontent-fra3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpt1/v/t1.0-9/11709545_852967218105588_4897589499855671538_n.jpg?oh=e7c144d33f13ecb88d4129ff8b30abeb&oe=561A33B2
Thanks :)
Hey, I was browsing web after you mentioned looking for a course, and several universities have posted some class information. Such as http://www.physics.brocku.ca/Courses/1P01/
the orbit also looks angular
