OpenStudy (anonymous):
right? that im not right?
OpenStudy (abhisar):
For melting something you have to provide energy. For example if you want to melt wax you need to heat it (remember that heat is a form of energy). Thus melting is a process which always requires energy.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
solidifying! the opposite of melting
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh wait. since heat is a form of energy then it is melting

OpenStudy (abhisar):
To solidify something like freezing water into ice you need to remove energy from it.

@sugarplum15 ... help? ;-;
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Melting!!! Solid → Liquid = to gaining (absorbing) energy which in this case is temperature

OpenStudy (abhisar):
@sugarplum15 , just to clarify, Temperature is not energy. It just the measure of hotness or coldness. Heat is energy :)
