Given a set of numbers N = {1, 3, 4, 5, 7}. If event A is the drawing of a number less than 4 and event B is the drawing of an even number, what is the probability that either event A or event B will occur?

OpenStudy (ashontae19):

can anyone please help?

@mLe

OpenStudy (mle):

I'm not good with probability so I might be wrong 2 of the numbers are less than 4 1 of the number is even so a total of 3 numbers out of the total 5 can be this "or" case probability of 3/5

OpenStudy (ashontae19):

http://prntscr.com/7o1dlz what about this one

OpenStudy (ashontae19):

@mLe

OpenStudy (mle):

negative slope with a positive y intercept |dw:1435861687446:dw|

OpenStudy (ashontae19):

so is the answer a?

OpenStudy (mle):

I think so

OpenStudy (ashontae19):

or is it b?

OpenStudy (mle):

a positive y intercept

OpenStudy (ashontae19):
