OpenStudy (ali2x2):

Which of the following apply to the graph on the inequality? Please mark all choices that apply. x > 7 There is a colored dot at 7. There is an open dot at 7. Shading goes to the left. Shading goes to the right.

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

maybe you should start off by graphing first :) So, do you know how to graph x = 7 ?

OpenStudy (ali2x2):

Im really new to graphing Can you show me an example? :)

OpenStudy (ali2x2):

Hello? Butterflydreamer are you there at the moment?

OpenStudy (ali2x2):

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

sureeee. So if the question wanted you to sketch x > 3. The first thing that you would want to do is to sketch x = 3 x = 3 will look something like this: |dw:1435922992502:dw| The open circle means that the number 3 is not included which is TRUE because we have "x>3" which means x is greater than 3 and not equal to three :) Similarly, if we graph x>3 on a number plane, it will look like: |dw:1435923238945:dw|
