Free Piano Lessons (drum and guitar lessons coming soon)

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

Hi guys so I promised free lessons. First Off I would like to teach is how to look at the keyboard or piano. Most of us look at it as very hard because of the numerous keys and nothing to tell us which key to play (My opinion when I started.) But In reality it's the easiest instrument to learn. (Look at the attachment or picture I attached to this comment to see what I mean in the next sentences.) The piano is made up of different groups note how each green box has 2 black keys and the blue boxes have 3 black keys, this is what we use to find out were we are in the piano because Every 2 black key at the bottom there are white keys. We mostly play the white keys so every 2 black keys always start with the chord C (do) and every 3 keys start with E (Mi).

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

Every singer and musician must know this: C: Do (doe sound) D: Re (ray sound) E: Mi (me sound) F: Fa G: Sol (soul sound) A: La B: Si (sea sound)

might ask why does this matter? well because those are the sounds a piano plays ^_^ you can practice by... playing these attached notes in order from the top to bottom. REMEMBER to start from the first white key next to the first 2 black keys.

Also would like to say try moving ur figures around allot they need the work out because it takes allot of work while playing just like a drummer when he keeps pressing the bass drum (big drum on the floor usually in the center of the drum kit) with his/her foot or a guitarist when their figures get soar from pressing the strings.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

The right way to play is numbering ur fingers. I've seen beginners thinking that it's easier to use their index + middle + ring figure to play a chord because I was one of those and I saw how in the long run it did affect me because i couldn't stretch my figure to a key. So it's smart to start with ur thumb on first key + index on second + middle on third.
