OpenStudy (curry):

when doing binary arithmetic in two's complement, is the answer also in two's complement? or is it in binary?

OpenStudy (decentnabeel):

is it in binary

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this question is incoherent. can you try to be more clear as to what you mean? two's complement is a scheme for representing signed numbers in binary

OpenStudy (curry):

so if i want to add two numbers in two's complement architecture with 4 bits. -5 + 6. so 1011 + 0110 = 0001 would be the answer. is that 0001 in two's complement form? in other words, does that represent 1 in decimal value or -6 in decimal value ?

OpenStudy (curry):

sorry, not 6, i mean -7 in decimal value.
