Find the range for the measurement of the third side of a triangle, x, given the measures of the two sides: 3.8 ft and 9.2 ft. A. 5.4 ftx>13 ft

OpenStudy (freckles):

let's assume 3.8 and 9.2 are the shorter than the third so we have: \[3.8+9.2>x\] where I'm calling x the measurement of the third side let's assume 3.8 and x are the shorter than the side with measurement 9.2 so we would have: \[3.8+x>9.2\] (and 3.8 cannot be the longest side since 9.2>3.8) anyways solve the two inequalities
