Two students in your class, OBBY and Blake, are disputing a function. Tucker says that for the function, between x = –4 and x = 2, the average rate of change is 0.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

the average rate of change is positive as the function increases to the turning point then it decreases aso the average rate is negative as it descends to x = 3. The sum of these 2 average rates can be zero.
