-Main sequence - Fusion reaction mostly fueled by hydrogen producing helium. -Red Giants - Still hydrogen fusion in the outer shells, helium fusion in the core. Extremely large stars may become Super-Giants in which fusion of heavier elements occurs. -Black Dwarfs is a White dwarf that has cooled and no longer emits light and heat a white dwarf post star collapse about the size of Earth fusion is no longer taking place, composed of electron degenerate matter (usually carbon and oxygen).
