Is my answer correct? WILL GIVE MEDAL Determine if triangle DEF with coordinates D (3, 2), E (4, 6), and F (7, 3) is an equilateral triangle. Use evidence to support your claim. If it is not an equilateral triangle, what changes can be made to make it equilateral? Be specific. http://learn.flvs.net/webdav/assessment_images/educator_geometry/v15/module09/09_12_c3.jpg
my answer Triangle DEF is not an equilateral triangle because not all three sides are equal and do not all have 60 degree angles. Side DE is the square root of 17 and so is side DF. However, side EF is the square root of 18 which also shows that the triangle is not equilateral. Distance for DF 4.1231 Distance for DE 4.1231 Distance for EF 4.2426 Moving D to (7, 2) would make the triangle equilateral.
