Don't mind the ? mark at the bottom careless mistake putting it there

How would I go about solving this problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you have a number multiplying or dividing other that is equal to the first you can add or subtract their exponents respectively \[(\frac{ c^{8} }{ c^{-4} } *\frac{ d^{-12} }{ d^{-8} } )\] \[{ c^{8-(-4)}} * { d^{-12-(-8)}}\] \[{ c^{12}} * { d^{-4}}\]
