Using the data, what is the equation of the line of best fit? . Round your answers to the nearest tenth. x : {20,30,45,60,80,90,45,120,90,70} y: {50,45,55,70,80,90,80,100,95,85} Select one: a. y= .6x -38.2 b. y= 38.2x + .6 c. y=.6x + 38.2 d. y= -.6x +38.2

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

just select a couple of points and test them so use (20, 50) substitute them into the 1st equation and you get \[y = 0.6 \times 20 - 38.2~~~~so~~~~y = - 26.2\] so equation A doesn't seem to work. repeat the process with B if it works, choose another point to check, say (45, 55)
