The way I remember Sin, Cosine, and Tangent is SOH - Sin is Opposite / Hypotenuse CAH - Cosine is Adjacent / Hypotenuse TOA - Tangent is Opposite / Adjacent

You divide the side opposite to the one your trying to find the tangent of by the side adjacent to it.
