HELP! I kind of have the answer, I am just not sure... I WILL GIVE YOU A MEDAL!! A garden is to have a perimeter of 102 feet and its area must be at least 594 square feet. Within what bounds must the length of the garden lie? I am not sure what the last part means, but I made two equations xy=594 and 2x+2y=102, and I solved it and got the points for x and y... (33,18) or (18,33). By the way this is a summer assignment...

Like what am I supposed to do with the answers I got?

Miracrown (miracrown):

The equations you have are correct. 2x + 2y = 102 is correct for perimeter But you are slightly off for your equation for area, Its area must be AT LEAST 594 square feet. So instead of the equal sign, what symbol should be there instead?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Miracrown so it will be xy is greater than or equal to 594

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im getting xy is greater than 594 .

Miracrown (miracrown):

Yep x > 594
