Your family has planted a garden. You observe that some of the plants in the garden have teeth marks in them. What is eating the plants?

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Probably some sort of insects, but it really depends on where you live, do you have more information?

central jersey north brunswick

Oh, well I'm not sure how it is there, but maybe you should observe outside how it is, take think about the climate, the daily weather, how it is there, look around, this is more of a hands on problem, so you will have to do this on your own I can't really tell you what it is, but I'm assuming it's probably some sort of insects.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think squirrels because they have teeth

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

That's a good observation! You maybe right :), it could also be animals around

For the second part of your assignment, you will apply the scientific method to a real-life situation. You will select a problem that leads to a testable question, similar to the scenarios presented in Part I and explain how you would follow each step of the scientific method to try and answer the question or solve the problem. Note: you are describing only what you would do at each step; you will not be conducting the experiment.
