PLEASE HELP! given that (5,-8) is on the graph of f(x), find the corresponding point for the function f(x+2)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

when you have some function f(x), the f(x+2) is going to be shifted 2 units left from the f(x). So, if on f(x) you have a point (5,-8), then on the f(x+2) you are going to have the same point BUT this point will be shifted to units to the left. (((To shift a point w units to the left, subtract w from the x-coordinate of the point)))
