Why are scientists concerned about the loss of species as a result of human activities? Why would the extinction of other species negatively affect human society?

well the extinction of species disrupts the food chain and could either kill off other species or have that particular species migrate to another region and cause another species to starve it's just a really big domino effect

I would say, Scientists are concerned about the loss of species because the loss of one species can set off a chain reaction that cause other species to die out and affect out food chain.  @Crissy15   $\small\rm\color{green}{Nice~to~meet~you~!}$
