Frankly, a new, foreign disease being brought to you will likely wreck your people. Then, you make the mistake of welcoming people who have a "we will destroy you" sign clearly painted on their heads to your place, giving them gifts. Then the guy in charge of your entire Empire gets held hostage. I think after all that it's not surprising why the Aztecs collapsed. So...which ones would that be?
