OpenStudy (wil476003):

It's first or last for sure not the second one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm ok should i ask someone which one??

OpenStudy (wil476003):

I believe it is the first one

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

do you know what it means for a data set to be skewed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um for it to change?

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

http://www.mathsisfun.com/data/skewness.html

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ik now.

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

so, would you say that the data set (in the question) is skewed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes one side is taller than the other

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

right, and is there an outlier?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

ok, since our data is skewed and there is an outlier, we would use the median value since it doesn't get affected as much as mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you both so much.
