ok the difference between mitosis and meiosis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so meiosis has a repeat of cellular division and separation. This is while mitosis only has one of each. Also, in meiosis homologous chromosomes come apart leading to daughter cells that are not identical genetically with each other. In mitosis the daughter cells are identical to the parent as well as to each other. The offspring that mitosis creates is two daughter cells that have the same genetic mix as their parents while meiosis produces four haploid cells that are not the same when it come to genetics.

ok thanks
