If quadrilateral ABCD rotates 90° counterclockwise about the origin, what are the coordinates of A′ in quadrilateral A′B′C′D′ ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the coordinates of quadrilateral ABCD are writen as (x,y) then if it is rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise about the origin the new coordinates would be written as (-y,x) therefor if the original coordinates of point A are (3,5) then the coordinates of point A' would be (-5,3)
