Meg conducted a survey of four school cafeterias to find the number of students who like sandwiches for lunch. The results of her survey are recorded in the table below:
Which school has the greatest percentage of students who like sandwiches for lunch? School A School B School C School D
ok ill walk you through this
ok
So in school A, 12/38 students like sandwiches. List the same thing for the rest of the schools.
ok
school b is 9/48
school c is 10/26
and School d is 8/24
so all these fractions have to be converted to percentages. you know how to do that?
yeah mate
ok i will do school A and B and you do C and D ok?
ok
i got 3 for D
School A is 32% School B is 19%
ok how you do that
i got whole numbers
lol ok so you divide the top number by the bottom number of the fraction. you can use a calculator.
so since A is 12/38, i divided 12 by 38 and i got 0.315789
i moved the decimal which is this>> . two spaces to the right. so it landed right after the 1. your number is now 31.5789 but we cant use that. so we round up?
you know how to round?
so i rounded that up to 32. so i got 32%. get it?
ah i get it thanks man
