In order to build a scale model of the trail, the drawing is enlarged as parallelogram ABCD on the coordinate plane. If two corners of the trail are at point A (−2, 7) and point D (−10, −1), what is another point that could represent point B? (14, 7) (10, 7) (12, 7) (8, 7)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have no idea how to find the coordinates *.*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know?? @alekos

OpenStudy (alekos):

yes i do. the new parallelogram is enlarged by a factor of 4 so you can work it out from there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i multiply the x and y values by 4?

OpenStudy (alekos):

No you have to look at the distance between F and G and multiply that by 4. Point A corresponds with Point F and Point B corresponds with point G

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right i did that just now and my answer is the last option rihgt?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right?**

OpenStudy (anonymous):

scratch that the answer is B thanks for guiding
