it really depends on the writer honestly. some writers like to write and edit. others like to organize first. There's different ways to write and edit. You could edit after every chapter or once youre completely finished. Problem with writing and then editing without any planning is that its difficult to accomplish with complex stories.

As for organizing before hand there are an endless amount of ways that could help and every writer has a different system. For me i use an app called mindly but thats only one. You have to figure out what works best for you
